SOA Jumpstart

This service will help your organisation to launch the SOA initiative. Our architects will conduct interviews and workshops with the technology and the business teams, to reach the following goals:

  • To appoint a sponsorship committee in the organisation, and write the Roles & responsibilities document for SOA. Put together a SOA Centre of excellence.
  • Start governance: publish the goals for SOA in the organisation; define basic governance processes, etc.
  • Define a draft for the SOA roadmap.
  • Selection of an appropriate business unit or project that could benefit from the SOA approach. Preliminary analysis of processes and services.
  • Choose technologies and products for the SOA pilot among different vendors.
  • Evaluate SOA governance technical challenges.
  • Implementation of pilot project.
  • Analysis of the results.

If the results of the analysis reveal that SOA is the right approach for the organisation, a more detailed analysis will be conducted; more projects will be incorporated to the initiative throughout a SOA iterative implementation, and the final technology will be selected.  Besides, governance will be further defined and implemented, also in an iterative manner.
